This must be what it feels like to have made it.
Now, let’s not get things confused: I’m no Neil Patrick Harris. I don’t have pretensions of being NPH, nor do I think that I’m going to be him anytime soon… but let me telling you, I’m feeling the love.
In just under two weeks, we’ve had 7,500 views for the two episodes we’ve released thus far. That’s about 7,400 more views than I’ve had on any other project that I’ve released on YouTube. That’s… crazy. People have watched this stuff at least 7,500 times (and my mother-in-law isn’t 7,499 of them, I know!), and to top it all off, people really like it!
Our amazing writer, co-star and producer Manda Whitney sent the cast an e-mail last week with all the kind things that have been said about us so far, and it was so amazing. Not that I hadn’t already read them all, because it’s such a blast reading YouTube, Nanotoons and other such comments. You are all amazing. Thank you.
As I mentioned in my last post, I hadn’t really heard about NaNoWriMo before being approached by Errol and Manda. I thought at first that it was because it was a small thing. I realize now that it’s because NaNo-ers (as our second episode so gently calls us) are so dedicated to their craft during November that they don’t have time to talk to anyone else… 😛
But now that I know what to look for, I see it everywhere. Hunched over a laptop in a cafe, leaving a party early to deal with a wordcount. NaNo-ers are everywhere, you just have to see them.
I know what it feels like to be loved, thanks to you. And in return, for your unbridled joy and enthusiasm for this project of ours, I’m happy to say: NaNoWriMo, I love you too.
You’re adorable.
Hah, I’m only about fifteen of those! (Seriously, I listen to my favorite episodes like three times a day for fun and inspiration.)
Also, agreed with Lizette!
